New for 2014, the green series is cut from high grade, cross cut briar. Like the “Green Spray Spigot “ range, the briar is selected for its look and natural flaws. A small but attractive bent billiard, with a saddle stem and fishtail bit. The 221’s bowl gives a slow and cool smoke, while the bent shank allows a light, hands free smoke. Only briar up to standards is selected and given a green stain. Peterson stain there pipes by using ethanol based stains, first dipping the bowl into the stain and then over a naked flame. The pipe is allowed to dry and then given a mirror shine, the dipping method allows for contrasting colouring, with the grain. A hand fitted silver band is fitted above the vulcanite stem with fishtail bit.
