Plasencia’s newest Alma is here! Alma del Cielo is a new release that changes how tobacco is grown, typically grown in valleys or low-lying areas surrounded by hills. Alma del Cielo’s filler leaves are grown 3,500 feet above sea level, a feat never done previously.
This tobacco comes from Plasencia’s Finca San Julien farm, which gets a unique flavor due to the lower temperatures at night and lack of shade during the day.
This farm was previously a cattle and coffee farm, that Plasenica’s grandmother spent time at in her younger years. The family sold the farm in 1961. As a gift to his wife, Nestor Sr purchased the land back in 1998.
